Beyond Technologies commits to positive social and environmental change

It all started with a small team of dedicated employees who saw their employer as an organization open and receptive to making a difference to protect our environment and ensure greater social equity.

It was in March 2020, at the very beginning of the pandemic, that Beyond achieved an important milestone by participating in the Parcours Développement Durable Montréal, along with 19 other SMEs in Québec. It was a challenging yet truly enriching experience! We learned a lot by sharing our thoughts with different experts and members from other companies. We challenged ourselves as a company and reflected some key sustainable development goals which were in line with our values and corporate culture. With the support of the sustainability consulting firm Ellio we were able to establish our long-term vision and formalize our commitments, as part of our sustainable development charter.

Nearly two years have passed since the beginning of our adventure with the Parcours Développement Durable de Montréal, and we are happy with the progress we have made so far. Today, we are proud to announce that our head office (Montréal) has been awarded the internationally recognized ECOCERT Canada’s Level 1 ECORESPONSIBLE certification. The Council of Sustainable Industries also presents our company as one of the ECORESPONSIBLE leaders in Québec.

This certification and recognition as an ecoresponsible company marks the beginning of our journey with tangible and measurable initiatives. Moreover, sustainability is now part of Beyond’s strategic objectives as we focus on four key aspects: low-carbon transition for our company and our clients, diversity and inclusion, mental health and community involvement.

Our goals are ambitious but realistic and we have given ourselves the means to achieve them. For one thing, our Sustainability Committee, initially composed of four members, has grown to a team of over 20 people, ready to innovate and think outside the box. We can also count on a management team that supports and encourages us in our endeavors, as well as the support of experts from the consulting firm Ellio.
